Rappa is proving to be evolving at lightspeed based on the creativity embodied in his latest project Trappin In Tha Summer.
Following the delivery of his Trappin In Tha Winter 2 mixtape this past January, Rappa has revamped the concept for the summer season. The six track project includes guest features from artists such as NHale, Santeezy, Dante’ Harris, Whokid Woody and more, Trappin In Tha Summer is a refreshing rendition of Rappa’s popular Trappin In Tha Winter mixtape series. The tape also serves as a strategic partnership between Rappa LLC and Foundation Media and Digital Currensy distribution company.
However, the new record is more than an interpolated body of work for Rappa—but rather a new exploration of creative collaboration and A&R tastemaking.
Comprised of both handpicked vault exclusives and brand new collaborations, Trappin In Tha Summer sets in motion Rappa’s entire new campaign. In addition to maintaining the structure of the series with the return of Trappin In Tha Winter in the coming months, Rappa also plans to deliver a new Spanglish album and create a statewide music festival under the namesake of tape.
