Who the fuck is Squeegie-O?

Welp, Squeege is an emcee that’s been around since the days of the Simpsonian Institute. But, I’ve been introduced to the Staten Island lyricist when he came out with his 2016 sleeper, Born Loser. He then came out with joints like The Day The Niggaz Took Ova (with Egon Doe) and Altered Beast in 2017.

For 2018, he releases the Dao Lockman EP, fully produced by Khrimz. The 9-track EP starts off with the “Squeege Taratino Intro,” which contains some classic Mega Man cartoon excerpts (which you will hear throughout the EP). The chorus from “Vanish” pays homage to Eminem’s “My Name Is..” “Don’t Stop,” which uses the Yarbrough & Peoples sample of the same name, is also a dope tune and “Life (Is What You Make It)” used a chopped and screwed sample of Slum Village’s “Fall In Love,” which wowed me.

Squeege’s lyrics still sounding off the damn chain, with his crazy self, but them boom bap beats still sound like they came fresh out of the 90s. The Dao Lockman EP is a bit darker than Born Loser, but it’s nothing short from glory. Not disappointed at all.

The Dao Lockman EP is out now on all digital music sites everywhere.
