Mike Crook, the rising West Coast producer known for his work with Blueface, Doja Cat, Coi Leray, Tyga, and more, is about to take a bold leap into the world of EDM with his upcoming project, Crash Landing. In 2025, Crook is set to flip some of his most iconic tracks into high-energy EDM remixes, while also introducing fresh material to kick off this exciting new chapter in his career.

Crook has become a staple in the West Coast hip hop scene with his signature production style, but now he’s ready to explore new creative territory. Crash Landing will feature remixes of fan favorites like Blueface’s “Baby,” Coi Leray’s “Blick Blick,” and an unreleased track from Tyga’s upcoming album. Fans can also expect Crook’s remix of YG’s “In The Dark” and an original song titled “Paradise,” featuring the talented Lourdiz.

“I’ve been wanting to experiment with EDM for a while, and I think now is the perfect time to do it,” Crook says. “This project is all about challenging myself and having fun again. I’ve worked with some of my idols in hip hop, and now I’m pushing myself into a new space creatively.”

Crash Landing is more than just a collection of remixes. It’s a chance for Crook to reimagine his past work through the lens of electronic music. The project promises to bring West Coast rap into the EDM world, creating an entirely new energy and sound for fans to experience.

“I want to remix these West Coast records into EDM and see them reach new audiences around the world,” Crook explains. “The global love for EDM is real, and I think it’s exciting to bring these songs to new countries and genres.”

Crook’s venture into EDM is part of a larger trend of genre-blending in today’s music landscape. With artists like Lil Nas X and Travis Scott experimenting with electronic elements, Crook’s Crash Landing EP is yet another example of how hip hop and EDM can complement each other in innovative ways. But while EDM is Crook’s focus for this project, he makes it clear that he isn’t leaving hip hop behind.

“I’ll always be producing rap songs for artists, but Crash Landing is all about my personal artist journey in EDM,” Crook says. “It’s a chance to create something new and exciting that’s entirely my own.”

As 2025 kicks off, Crash Landing is set to make waves in both the hip hop and EDM scenes. With a unique blend of West Coast swagger and high-energy electronic vibes, Mike Crook’s new project is sure to captivate fans and expand his musical reach like never before.
